EMIL LAMPRECHT: Now we're going to talk about the four-ball shower pattern. First of all, you need to practice the three-ball shower pattern a lot especially at a high height. Get used to throwing way up there accurately so that when you're doing it with four balls, you don't have to run around and dive. You want this to be controlled with three balls on both sides and like that. Don't drop. Next thing you want to do is possibly work with the three-ball chase. Now, the object of the three-ball chase is to start with all the balls in one hand and release them in a way that the first ball lands in the other hand just after the last ball was released from this. You would then return them in that same arc for what is called the three-ball chase. The height of your three-ball chase would generally be about the height of a four-ball shower so it helps to do that, then you add the fourth ball. I suggest for anyone trying to learn this trick, learn it from a cold start. Learning it from pattern is something that you can add later on to define the trick, but it's still easy enough to do it just like this. This is not easy; it takes a lot of time and practice. Make sure you can do it on both sides though your non-dominant hand will probably have a harder time. And then, as you get to higher numbers, you may be able to pull it off with them which is a very impressive trick. Good luck.
