JASON SHERIDAN: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Jason Sheridan from the Sheridan Fencing Academy here in New York City, and today, we're going to demonstrate some intermediate sabre fencing. We're going to now talk about parry-riposte, riposte being what's important here. Once we protect ourselves with the blade, we need to be able to hit our opponent. It's not enough just to protect yourself. You need to actually be able to score. What you're going to see is one opponent will hit the other, or attempt to hit the other, with a cut while the other parries, and then makes a cut to head with riposte. Watch carefully as they use all three of the parries we were just talking about. You should be able to tell which they are doing based on the earlier video. And this time, they'll do it but with acceleration of the riposte. It's very important that, although they practiced it first a few times slow, that they accelerate riposte going slow, fast. Let's try that again, and one more. Bravo.
