JASON SHERIDAN: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Jason Sheridan from the Sheridan Fencing Academy here in New York City, and today, we're going to demonstrate some intermediate sabre fencing. For attacks to head, we use parry five. Parry five looks like so. Notice how the guard is up around my eye level, rather around my eye level. The tip is a little bit higher. My arm is relaxed and not to the side here but forward. This is a very comfortable and easy position to take. Watch as the girls demonstrate. One will attack to the other's head, while the other parries five. Again, there's no tension. She's not in a panic to make the movement. She does it very effortlessly like it's the easiest movement in the world. Watch again, very nice. And let's try it from a different angle. The attack should be coming this way. The parry should be facing the camera. Just by me, Rachel, by me. Go ahead. And from here, she's protected and able to make her offense.
