Mixing Different Songs with DJ Equipment

Hi everyone. I'm DJ Shy and this is Expert Village. Now we are going to try to mix two different songs with two totally different beats per minute. Right now I already have a song and I want to show you an example of how to beat match. This song is ninety-two beats per minute. This song on this table is ninety-four. We would want to match so in order to do that , ninety-two, ninety-four, we're going to add two to the ninety-two to equal ninety-four. What we do is add one, two so now that it's now ninety-four and it should match with this ninety-four song. Let's listen to it and let's pay attention to the snare. If the snare's off we would either want to slow down or speed up the song so that it does match. Here I go. The start of the song is right here. Snare, snare. They are matching and there you have it. You're mixing two different songs. What you want to do for this exercise is listen to the whole song. You would want to listen to whole song so that it's matched throughout the whole song. It's just a simple exercise that you can practice at home so that you would know how to mix two different songs and that you are listening for the snares so that the snares match and you could speed up and slow down. Have fun with your exercise.
