Hi everybody. I'm DJ Shy and this is Expert Village. I'm telling you how to mix. In order to learn how to mix you must know beats per minute. Every song has a bpm or beats per minute. What it is is exactly what it sounds like. It's how many beats there are per minute. In order to find out what the beats per minute is for a song you have to take a stopwatch and count how many beats there are in a whole minute. For example, I'm going to play this song right now. That's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten and keep on counting those beats until a minute. This song happens to be ninety beats per minute. What you would want to do is that you would want to count all the beats per minute to all the songs to help you how to mix. Beats per minute are very important because you would want to mix according to the closest of the beats per minute. For example, if I have a song that's ninety bpm and I want to try to mix it with another song that's ninety one, ninety two beats per minute. If you know how many beats per minute there are it makes it easier to mix.
