How to Do Crossover Cumbia Dance Steps

Another variation for the cumbia basic step is. Here's the basic again. You're going to step, together, step, and step, together, step. In this variation you're actually going to travel more. Instead of just having your feet come together, you're actually going to cross in front, step, and slide. Step, step. See how I'm crossing in front. With the counts to the music, it would look like this. Right, left, right, and left, right, left, and right, left, right, and left, right, left. Now let me count. It goes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Again, just breaking down slowly. You step, cross in front, step, slide it in, step, cross in front, step, slide it in.
