Stab Channel Scratching for DJ's

Hi everyone. I'm DJ Shy here on Expert Village and I'm going to teach you how to do a basic scratch called the Stab, the Stab using the channel volume and the channel volume is right here. I'm going to be using this turntable, so the cross fader is going to stay here. Basically a stab sounds - you know what it is, just like a stab. You don?t hear; when you go forward you don't hear the back. So, for example this is the scratch that I'm going to use, "Get on it", get on it and basically when I go like this, you?re not going to hear the back. You?re not going to hear the reverse, so I'm going to take that reverse out using this channel volume. The scratch that I'm going to use sounds like this and basically for a stab you don't want to hear that rewind, see that rewind, you don' want that. So for a stab you just go simply, forward, back so they won't hear that reverse, forward, back and it sounds like this. That is what a stab is, just stabbing without hitting the reverse end and you can do some cool effects that sound like this. So that is what a stab sounds like using the channel volume.
