Chirp Scratching for DJ's

Hi everybody. I'm DJ Shy, here on Expert Village and I am going to teach you basic scratch called The Chirp. Now a chirp, I guess they call it a chirp because it kind of sounds like a bird chirping and it's nice and crisp. Let me show you what a basic baby scratch sounds like, therefore you can hear the difference between a baby scratch and the chirp, but basically the same. This is a baby scratch where the cross fader is just in the middle, you don?t touch the cross fader at all. A baby scratch is simply going back and forth okay. Now with a chirp your making the scratches crisp and clear. So basically you start the cross fader in the middle and you go with your record, you go out. So it goes like this and then. So it's a crisp going back and forth. I can show it to you again in slow motion. So you start in the middle and you go out, back to the middle, back, out.
