How to Play the Second Half of "Plug in Baby" on the Guitar

JOE WILES: We're going to take a look at the second half of the introductory riff to Muse's "Plug In Baby." In our last segment, we left off here. And to continue, we'll start with our middle finger on the 4th fret of the G string. Then, we're going to use our ring finger to go up to the 6th fret, and then, the 3rd fret on the B string. It'll be these three notes in a row. Do those first two notes again, 3rd fret of the B string to the 5th fret of the B string. Come back to the 6th fret of the G string, 3rd fret B string, 5th fret B string, 2nd fret high E string, okay? So far, this is where we're at on this section. Again, that sounds like this, 4, 6 on the G string, and then 3rd on the B, 4, 6 on the G, 3, 5on the B, then 6 on the G, 3, 5 on the B, and 2nd on the E. We're going to do that same hammer-on the pull-off, okay. Come down with our ring finger to the 5th fret of the B string, 2nd fret E string, back to the 5th fret of the B string. Together, that second riff sounds like this. Slowly, both put together, the riff sound like this. And to speed, they sound like this. I hope you'll join me in the next segment. We're going to take a look at "Give It All" by Rise Against.
