How to Play "Plug in Baby" on the Guitar

JOE WILES: We're going to take a look at number 44 on our top 80 countdown which is "Plug In Baby" by Muse. We're going to take a look at the introductory riff on this song, just the very beginning, before anything kicks in. it's all done on the high three strings, okay. We're going to start on the G-string on the 3rd fret, okay, with our index, 4th fret, with our middle, and then 6th fret with our ring. Repeat it. Then, go the 3rd fret of the B string. We're going to back down with our middle finger to the 4th fret of the G string. Use our pinky up here to the 6th fret, okay. Now to the B string, three, five on the B string. So, on the G string, four, six, three, five on the B string, okay, so far, okay. Then, we're going to go to a high E string, put our index finger on the 2nd fret. And then, do a hammer onto the pull-off under the 3rd fret, okay, so far. Then, we come back down that same scale, 5 on the B string, 3 on the B string, 6 on the G string. So far, the first half of that riff, I'll play it slowly for you. Try to follow along. And again, okay. That's the first half of the introductory riff, and in our next segment, we're going to cover the next half. I'll see you there.
