BEN GRAHAM: I'm going to talk now about some people that you don't see very often and a lot people don't even know they exist. They're the front office personnel. These are the guys that include the general manager, the assistant GM, the marketing and PR people, the media relations people, the people who make things happen in the game of baseball that you don't necessarily see on the field. These are the guys that book the travel. They're the guys that determine the schedule, determine who's going to be going where on what airline, what kind of meals they're going to eat, and where the team is going to stay. These guys are very, very important, especially on the collegiate level and the Major League level, because these teams depend on these guys greatly. You could put scouts in there as well, but we'll cover them along with the general manager in a later segment. Their responsibility is talent evaluation, talent management, but all of the things that you don't necessarily see on a day-to-day basis but are very, very vitally important to the success of a baseball team. That's the responsibility of the front office.
