A glossary of terms synonyms with Barbu so obviously the the name Barbu. It means King of Hearts, it's the name of the game and often when you are playing the King of Hearts game, it's the name of the game and often when you are playing the King of Hearts game they talk about it as the Barbu game. Breaking a suit is the same as leading a suit or discarding a suit or trumping when you are playing any of the games that involve trump which is tricks. We talk about cash, cashing out winners; we taught the word climb where you have to try to win the trick if possible, very similar to the term pinochle. Contract is the choice of level of the game that you choose to play. Remember, when you're the dealer you have the choice of first level if you are playing a short game and you pick Queens then nobody else can take Queens for the rest of the game so you try to trick the game that is best suited, no pun intended, that is best suited to your hand. We have dominos which is the same as fan tan. It has nothing to do with dominos, you know five dominos, dominos is just another word for fan tan and we have an illustrative hand of fan tan. I'll just hand person to the left of the dealer, finesse doesn't really come into play because you're not playing partners, it does come in occasionally, last two is a game, we've talked about Nullos. Plus hands there are seven levels in the game; two of them have plus points. Those are tricks, plus five a piece and there is fan tan with a premium of 50 points being the first to go out. The score will completely balance so there is 120 points negative and there will be 120 points positive. People adjust that, really doesn't matter the idea is to have a score keeper when you're checking the score we'll go through that later. The number of negative points has to equal the number of positive points. Ob suit revoke you have to follow suit when possible otherwise you are penalized, starter card is a fan tan term you have negative contracts. A contract is a level, they mean the same these terms are similar to other card games and we will recognize them.
