Understand the Difference Between Live & Internet Online Play in Barbu

There are a few Internet sites, two of them in Europe, one of them in the U.S. where Barbu is played online. And I suggest strongly that you familiarize yourself with the game before you go to an online game. Because a lot of the players over there are seasoned and uh, you know they might get upset if you're not familiar with the intricacies of the game. Um, so you want to maybe play some practice games with friends and so forth. Then go to the Internet game to hone your skills. Then when you're ready to play in a Barbu tournament, which are currently held uh, at Bridge tournaments. There's several Bridge games that have Barbu tournaments secondarily, if there's such a word. And because Bridge is a popular game and played, you know primarily as a live game, you will find Barbu games at many Bridge tournaments. Or you'll be able to get on the mailing list of the Internet Barbu sites. So, you have an opportunity to meet other Barbu players and um, play what can be a competitive game and also, play for stakes. And this is one thing that, before you wade into those waters, you want to make sure you've accomplished an expertise. So keep in mind, go to the online sites. Familiarize yourself. Maybe watch a game. Uh, try to sit down with three friends, play the, play the um, four handed game. And then you know, explore the idea of playing Barbu, in a competitive setting with the Bridge players. You'll have a lot of fun.
