Pizza Soup Recipe

Hi! I’m Linda Leon with Expert Village.com. Today we are going to make a wonderful meal called pizza soup so come a little closer and let’s get started. Now the ingredients to this recipe are very simple. You need 3 cups of water, Emeril’s Original Essence Seasoning, 1 red onion, 1 small can of stewed tomatoes, Italian sausage, 2 large baked potatoes and about 1 cup of Mozzarella cheese. Now preparing this meal is very simple. I microwave these potatoes in order to get them to cook a little faster and for this segment, I am only going to use 1 potato for the sake of time but you cut your potatoes up in chunks; nice big chunks. You add those to just a hot skillet. You don’t have to put any oil or anything like that in the skillet. As you notice here I am leaving the skins on because your nutrients are in the skin so it is okay to go ahead and leave the skins on your potatoes when you put them in your pot. So you are going to go ahead and put those in your skillet and then to those potatoes you are going to add your 3 cups of water and then you are going to add your stewed tomatoes. Now I like to use Italian stew tomatoes because they seem to have a much greater fragrance to them. Then you could stir that and let it heat. The beauty of this recipe is that all the ingredients are really cooked before you put them in the pot. You’ve already cooked your potatoes and your Italian sausage so when you get ready to prepare this dish like I said is cut and dry; it’s very simple. So we are going to slice up our Italian sausage and then we are going to put that in the pot also and after we do this we add our Emeril’s Original Essence Seasoning. Now if you don’t have Emeril’s Original Essence Seasoning you can use regular Italian Seasoning to do this but I just prefer to use Emeril’s because it has a lot of the same spices that pizza has. So you give that a little stir and when I put my seasonings in, I like to use them liberally. I put about 2 caps of this seasoning into my soup. That is plenty enough spice. You don’t have to add anything extra unless you want to but this is loaded with seasoning and the flavor is going to be great. Now you simply bring that to a low boil. Next what you want to do is chop up a few red onions and you are going to add this on the top of the soup. That’s a garnish once that’s done. It shouldn’t take any more than about 10 minutes for the soup to come to a nice low boil and it will be ready to eat. Now once your soup is done, you simply scoop some of that soup into your favorite bowl. This is a really excellent soup. Children love to eat Pizza Soup. You go ahead and scoop that over into your bowl, garnish it with your red onions and use liberal portion of Mozzarella Cheese and there you have it. Pizza Soup.
