How to Sew Decorative Pillow Edges

This is Vicki Walker for Expert Village. We have now pinned together the front to the back side of our decorative pillow. I would be sewing around the outside edge about a half a inch from the edge. But I would be sure to leave about 4 inches rather then closing this seam all the way up. I need to save room when I turn the pillow to be able to put the filling inside of it. So I would leave 4 inches for that purpose. I would begin stitching half a inch from the edge and I would just round the corner rather then leaving a point there. It would make it a little bit easier when I turn it. Continue a half inch from the edge. I continue sewing around and we would save a 4 inch section to be able to insert the filling and we would continue that in the next clip.
