How to Cover Button for Making Decorative Pillows

This is Vicki Walker for Expert Village. I have decided to add to the decorative pillow by putting a cover button that we would use this kit that comes with all the pieces that you need to cover a button. I would be putting it on the center and I need to do that before I sew the front to the back. So I would go ahead and do that at this point. Using the pieces that they provide in the kit I have cut a circle out of the coordinating fabric that I am using. I place it on that little plastic section, press the little metal button piece in, press all the little edges in. Then put the backing on there. I use this little blue piece to press down and it would press the backing into the pillow. Excuse me into the button cover and when you here it click you know that it has completed the button. Then we have the button that we would use for the center of our pillow. I would be sewing it on by hand because the sewing machine would not be able to help me with that part of our pillow. So I would be sewing this part by hand and then we would move on to the back side of the pillow.
