How to Sew Trim to Decorative Pillows

This is Vicki Walker for Expert Village. I have completed the front portion of the decorative pillow complete with the gimp trim on the outside edge or fabric on the outside edge. Now I'm going to sew on a row of gimp to border to frame this center part. It looks a little bit like a arch piece or something inside the middle. So I would sew that all the way around and that would be the last step in decorating the front part of our decorative pillow. Also right down the middle in the gimp, I would do this slowly so I would not mess up the pattern on the trim. Right along the edge where the gimp that is the center portion of the pillow is to do it slowly so the gimp does not get out of line. Right down the center of the trim you can see the pattern on the gimp. If you sew right down the middle, you would not be able to see the stitching. But that would make a little neater look than if I where to try to zigzag the gimp or to sew a even line on either side. But right down the center seem to work the best. So that is how I sew the gimp on to the front part of the pillow.
