Gains in a 4-4 Football Defense

Hi, I'm Billy Kidd, I'm here on Expert Village and we're going to talk about the four-four defense. You can also do a lot of blitzing. You can do a lot of blitzing in a lot of games. Games are usually associated with defensive linemen. The game is a type of pass rush. It doesn't' always have to be for the passing it could be for the run. But what their going to do in theory is trade places. They don't do it until the snap of the ball. It maybe with what we call a TE. T being the tackle and E being the end. T would be this tackle is going to control this B gap, this E is going to control this A gap. So at the snap of the ball he is hard to this area right here. At the snap of the ball, in theory, he's going to take one step up and then he's going to loop behind that tackle. Tackle, end, TE and create a game with these guys here to get in the back field, create confusion with the offensive lineman and make plays to where your offense does not have any success moving the football. Those are what we call games. They can do the same thing on this side.
