Which Color Portal to Shoot in Orange Box's Portal

JOHN SEXTON: Hi. I'm John Sexton, on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation. And there is the piston room. So now we can move on to the next area. Now, sometimes in these later areas, you'll have to shoot a portal very quickly and you might not remember which color you shot out. And it's important to know which color you have available to you and which one is already placed so that you don't delete the one that you spent so much time and effort placing. So if you'll look on the targeting reticle you can see right now that the orange portal has a circle on it, and that shows me that that's the one that's available to me right now. So if we look down here, we see that there's a pipe that's dispensing blocks and we can climb on top of that pipe and jump down to another one here. Be careful 'cause there's a piston here. Now, there's not much else for us to do in this room, but we're going to need to get on top of this piston to climb on to some of the other areas. So we'll wait for it to come back and then we'll shoot a portal up above, and then we'll come back here to this area and then we can shoot an entrance here. Again, you're going to want to place it below you, because we're going to be jumping across and we don't want to place it too high or else we won't make it.
