Jumping Down Elevator Shaft in Orange Box's Portal

JOHN SEXTON: Hi. I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation. All right, we've got some on there, and we're just proceeding through this test chamber just like we did before. Now normally, the elevator would be right here, but the elevator is not here, so we can jump down the elevator shaft, and we find ourselves in another industrial-looking environment. There's only really one place we can put portal here it's on the little overhang from this platform. And now we can put the entrance at the bottom of this elevator shaft and that'll spit us out on the other side of that fence. Now if we go forward, we see that there are these two piston-like things that are going up, and that's going to allow us to see on top of this thing that we just came out of the bottom of. We can put a portal up there and then put an entrance below. And right now we're literally using portals to see through the bottom of this-see through the bottom of this platform.
