Checking Out Industrial Chamber in Orange Box's Portal

JOHN SEXTON: Hi. I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation. We're no longer in any test chambers. The rest of the game is going to be making our way through this industrial type complex and seeing if we can figure out what's really going on here. So we try to climb up these stairs but they broke so we just want to had to made a couple of portals and skipped the stairs. Now we come to a door that we can open which leads to another room with a couple of turrets that look like they're in various states of assembly and some more staircases. So we'll just follow the staircase around. We've come to a fenced off area but we can place a portal on the other side of the fence. Stick one here and now we're past the fence. Go ahead and open the door here, and now we're in the area with couple of rotary blades. Now we're going to want to get past those but if we try to walk into them they'll kill us. So you just want to shoot a portal through the blades, you just have to time it right to make the exit there, and we can just make an entrance here on the floor, step through, and now we're on the other side of the blades.
