Creatively Timed Momentum Jumps in Orange Box's Portal

JOHN SEXTON: Hi. I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today, we're going to be learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation. All right, now we're going to have to do some creatively timed momentum jumps here. We've got an angled platform above us. We see an angled platform there in the cubbyhole below us. So, what we want to do right now is put an exit portal on that angled platform and an entrance portal here below us. We can jump into this one and be launched out of that one, and then we're going to want to shoot another portal in midair there. Whoop, missed that one. We'll go ahead and put our entrance back up there. So we'll put our exit there and shoot our entrance as we're falling. And now, we've placed our orange portal up above on the higher of the two launch platforms. So, if we go in the blue, that puts us up there, but we now need to use that height to launch us across the length of the room.
