Systematically Destroying Turrets in Orange Box's Portal

JOHN SEXTON: Hi. I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation. And in the end--at the end of this area we can see another safe place over there so we'll put an entrance and an exit and we made it across, so that was easy enough. At the end of this place, we see another black arrow that's telling us we need to go up so we'll place a portal up above through the grate and just put one in the wall here. And, now we're out in a kind of a gutter area with a bunch of sludge on the ground. And up above we can see gray doors and a very tall room. Those gray doors contain turrets so we're going to want to be careful about that. We can just make an exit anywhere and we've got a blue one down so we'll go ahead and shoot the orange one and that'll get us out of the gutter area. And as soon as we get down there, an alarm goes off and all the turret doors open, that's no good, we're going to need to get rid of those turrets. So we're safe in this cubbyhole for now but we can see that there are lots and lots of turrets in this room and we're going to have to take them out sort of systematically.
