Accessing Companion Cube in Industrial Chamber in Orange Box's Portal

JOHN SEXTON: Hi. I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation. We've got another glass wall here and we can't get through it but everything that's physical in the world travels through a portal so why not use that green eye's missiles to crack that glass for us and exactly that's what we're going to do. Open up a portal here, let it lock onto us and the move out of the way and it breaks the glass for us. Now it's still shooting so we gotta be careful. There's something that says "over here." I guess we want to go over here. There's a vent above us but it's a little bit too high to get to and there's not really a good place to put a portal right here. So let's see what we've got. Overhead, there's a glass tube that's sending companion cubes down the line. I think we can use the missiles to break that glass. So we'll put a portal right underneath it and then we'll go back to the room with the eye and we'll place our portal where we can see the glass there, let it lock onto us and low and behold, it did crack it for us and out came the companion cube.
