Playing "Train Kept A-Rollin" by Aerosmith

JOE WILES: Hi. This is Joe Wiles with the Rock & Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. Let's take a look at Aerosmith's "Train Kept A-Rollin'." All right, we're gonna--the first part of the riff starts in the G and the B strings right here, okay. We're going to put our pinkie on the 15th fret of the B string, and then our ring finger on the 14th fret of the G string. Now, right behind this, I'm going to put my other fingers to give it us some space 'cause we're going to bend it up. The first little part of the riff sounds like this. You want to bend it a couple of times. And then, I want you to bar the 12th fret of your D, G and B strings and pull down. Then, we're going to release this so our index finger which is barred in the 9th fret, okay? That's just a pull-off. We don't actually have to pick it after we lift these fingers up. The first introductory riff, it sounds like this, slowly. In the next segment, we're going to talk about the power chord basis for the rest of this song, okay. So see you there.
