Playing "Flirting with Disaster" by Molly Hatchet

JOE WILES: Hey, this is Joe Wiles with the Rock & Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. Let's take a look at Molly Hatchet's "Flirtin' with Disaster". The song starts out with just open E string. After a series of that, you'll use your index and your ring finger here on the A string, seventh fret to ninth fret, and you're going to hammer it on. So one pick, and then, you hammer-on your ring finger. Using your same index finger, I want you to reach down and pad the seventh fret of your G, your B--excuse me, I want you to pad the seventh fret of your D, your G, and your B strings. And then, slide it up two frets. That riff with the hammer-on sounds like this. Okay? Slowly, that riff sounds like this. If at speed, it sounds like this. Okay? In our next segment, we're going to talk about "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones. I'll see you there.
