Playing "Enter Sandman" by Metallica

JOE WILES: Hello. This is Joe Wiles with the Rock & Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment, we're going to tackle "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. Let's look at the guitar. This is one of those simple riffs that no matter where you play it, everybody's going to know exactly what you're playing. It starts of with the open low E string. Take your ring finger and slap it on the seventh fret of the A string, and then, your index finger here, put it on the fifth fret of the D string. Okay? Okay, this free middle finger here, we're going to put on the sixth fret of the low E string, bring our index finger to the fifth fret, and then, return our ring finger back to the seventh fret of the A string. Okay? Slowly, that riff sounds like this. To speed, it sounds like this. Alright, join us in our next segment. We're going to talk about "Epic" by Faith No More. I'll see you there.
