On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Paul Anderson from the ABC Circus, here in Hollywood, Florida. We're going to do How to be a Clown. If you want to be a clown you're going to have to study. We have a long reading list of books to read. Go down to the library and see what books on a circus are available. "Circus and Cloning", and here's three of my favorites; Curly, Moe, and Larry; What do you think of that, eh? Well there's three clowns that didn't wear traditional clown outfits or makeup. Magic is always good and there's loads of books on magic. Here Come the Clowns gives you a basic overview of clowning. Of course, where do clowns come from? The Italian Comedia Dell'Arte; there's a huge section in most libraries on Dell'Arte. There are also books about famous clowns; Grock, Grimaldi. You pick out your own favorite clown. Of course, go to every circus you can possibly go to. Buy the handbill, look at the pictures, they're my favorite kind of reading.
