Orange Box's Portal Walkthrough for Test Chamber 5

Hi, I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software. A company with which I have no affiliation. Now here we are about to go into test chamber 5. This one has the danger of blocks falling on my head. I think we can handle that. Now, we have two pressure plates and for the door to open, you can see there's a blue X on either side of the door, and that means for the door to be open we have to depress both plates. But since there's only one of me, we're going to need to use our friend, the block, to get the job done. If we look down here there's a second block. So, there's one here and there's one up there and we're going to need to use both of those. One on each pressure plate, to open the door to allow me to get through. We can see that the orange portal is up here this time and again I can't move the orange portal right now because it's too early in the game. So, anything that I put into a blue portal, which I can place where ever I like with the portal gun, is going to come out up there. We'll do the same thing we did in the last test chamber and make a blue portal under that block and this time I'm going to follow it. I'm going to follow it in and now both the block and I have come out of the orange portal. And that's step one. So we can grab the block and put it down here. Now, how are we going to get to this one over here.
