Finished Placemats

Hi. Shelly Cordsen here with Expert Village and we're just finishing up our projects to do with the kids and these are my Grandkids, Skylee and Treven and they're the ones that inspired me to do these projects because they were home for Christmas Holiday and wanted something to do. So Skylee did her placemat with her picture. She's the one that designed her back. Show them the back of your placement. Can you hold this? And what she did is took scrap like we just finished. This is leftover binding I had from the project we just did. And that's what she did. She went through my whole bucket and designed the whole back of her quilt. So there can be all kinds of projects. Now Treven here, he colored his picture, right? And picked out his race car to go with his race car bed. Another project that we've done with the kids is the organizers. Yea, there you go. With Levi's. Leftover Levi's and put all kinds of fun stuff in there. What would you put in their Treven? Gum. Gum. What else? Would you put your cars in there? Fruit snacks. Oh, fruit snacks. You can tell he's all about food. So, in summary, we have, let the children be creative with their picture, their backing their binding. You can even do stuff for adults, which this was mine. The project we started today can be very bright, very colorful. Pick out the personality of who you're making the mat for. You can remember, we even used photographs that you can scan. Family photos, photos of your hobby, your pet, make a fun placemat. How fun it is at Thanksgiving time or when you have family meals, let the grandkids go find their placemat and set the table for you.
