How to Quilt a Placemat

Shelly Cordsen here with Expert Village.We' re continuing with our personality placemats and we are now doing a flip and sew quilt as you go, design here. So I'm coming in and I have my two strips together, edges I'm just gonna sew down down quarter of an inch and I can get my foot there. Ok, we have finished sewing that together and we are gonna come over here and we are gonna flip it and this is where the flipping comes in, and we are gonna iron that down, k, now we do it again this time we take this one and we are gonna pin it down, and sew that, and if you want to get a little bit faster you know,not have to keep getting up and down, then go ahead and start pinning on the other side and then you can get do the two sewings before you have to come up. So we will take this one and pin it on this side and then while your sitting at your sewing machine then you can sew down this side, flip it and then sew this side and then we flip it out and iron them. And then we will continue doing that with the reamider of the strips till we gone clear out to the end..And then what you will notice is we are quilting as you go.
