Hi, this is Vicki Walker from Expert Village. For the purpose of our demonstration on how to make a butterfly chair, I have prepared the pocket section that we would be sewing to the front and lower sections. I have prepared them by pressing under a 1/4 of a inch and then pressing that under again so we have no raw edges exposed. I would sew these seams under for both of the lower pocket sections and the 2 upper pocket sections. I would be just sewing right along the pressed edge on each one of those pieces. This would give us a nice clean edge so there is no raveling and making a sturdier pocket that should last longer. That is one section of the 4. We would do a second section. Stay near the first edge so the raveled edges are not able to slip out from under there. That takes care of the second one. I would do the same thing with the other 2 pieces and those would complete the pockets section for our butterfly cover.
