JOE WILES: We're continuing with the first four bars of the Eagles' "Hotel California." Let's take a look. Now in the third bar of this song, we're going to use our middle finger on the 7th fret of the D string, then we're going to use our index finger to pad the 5th fret of the high B--excuse me, the B and the high E strings, okay? Now, later on, we're going to use these fingers to come to this position here, okay? So hover your pinkie, get it ready for the 7th fret of the high E string, as well as your ring finger on the 7th fret of the B string. The beginning of this, you hit the D string and the E string together. Okay? Then the B string, then the E string, 7th fret on the E string, then to the 5th fret on the E string, back to the 7th fret of the D string here, then B, E. So far, this is where we're at. Then we're going to bring our pinkie down to the 7th fret of the high E string, and then we're going to hit the high E of the 7th fret of the high E string again, then bring our index finger down to the 7th fret. Then for the fourth bar, we just lay our index finger across the 7th fret of the G, B and E strings. We're going to hit the G and B strings together, then the high E string, G string, then E, B, G, then you finish off with your high E. Slowly, the fourth bar sounds like this. The third and the fourth bars together sound like this. Then slide your finger up to the 7th fret of the G, B and E strings. All four bars together, slowly, sound like this. Now I'm sorry I don't have time to go to the full intro of that song, but if you're interested in learning more, check out Ultimate-Guitar.com and download the tabs for it, okay? In our next segment, which is number nine on our top 80 countdown is "Come As You Are" by Nirvana. I'll see you there.
