Finishing the Stems for Origami Water Lily

Now that we have got the center flat, what we are going to do is we are going to take it and flip it over. This is the back side, this is how we are going to finish up our lily. What we are going to do is we are going to grab these stems right here and just pick them up. They are going to form like so. Just take them and turn them. They all should turn rather easily. Pull and turn this one as well. You see what I'm doing here is I'm folding them over to create the star shape. Okay we would fold it and fold this in like so in that star shape. What you want to do is you want to get in there and try to work this around. Just give it a little bit of that 3-D look and take these and kind of curl them up a bit. Really that is it. This right here is your lily or your water lily and of curl these however you want just kind of give it that organic look.
