Importance of Focusing on Feelings in Self Hypnosis

Hi, I'm Beth Pry from MindLinks on behalf of Expert Village and I have here today, with me, Brad Brewer from the Brad Brewer Golf Academy, and he's deep in hypnosis right now, as we continue to speak about what's self hypnosis is and how to achieve that state. And, I have had Brad focusing on the feelings that he wants to have regarding his golf game, being, having been a competitive player and playing all the time and now being a business owner. He wants to feel as if he's still playing competitively when he does indeed play golf, so I'm asking him to focus on his feelings on what that might feel like. And, why he wants to focus on his feelings is because that's going to get him to where he wants to be. See, this is a step in neurolinguistics programming. Neurolinguistics programming is having you access the feeling state that you want to be in in order to get to where you want to be. The best way to know that you've arrived where you want to be is to know that you've already been there. How we know that we've mastered something is when we know that we have already been there. So, asking Brad to focus on his feelings is important that way he knows in hypnosis that he's there because he imagines himself there and in hypnosis, it feels as if you are already where you want to be. It seems just like that, so right now, having him really go deep into focusing on his feelings. So, Brad, being deep in hypnosis, I ask you to just really hone in on that feeling of being a fun loving golfer of acting as if you're playing competitively even though you're not playing competitively every day. Focus in on those feelings. Just allow yourself to focus in on them very, very deeply. And I'd like you to find where in your body you feel that feeling the deepest. Find where in your body you feel that those feelings of playing competitively and fun loving, where do you feel that deepest? Very good. In his chest. Very good and that's where he's focusing on those feelings. Very good. And he has his hand on his chest in order to remind him that that's where the feelings are the deepest and this is how you focus on your feelings and why you want to focus on them cause you want to be as if you're already where you are.
