How to Safely Store Fireworks

Hi, I'm David Hunter with Expert Village. Today we're going to be talking about fireworks, the different types and safety tips. And now we're going to talk about where to store your fireworks. If you have any leftover, you want to save them from maybe the 4th of July for New Years, or a special occasion like the end of the year cookout or a birthday party. Well there are many places you could store your fireworks. Always keep in mind they need to be stored in a nice dry place, cool place. Your garage is usually cool. So if you have a shelf, you can normally just clean off an area on your shelf, never put them on top of a refrigerator, any other electrical appliance; that is a no no. Put on a shelf, just take them, simply set them like this. The higher the better. Take the fuses on the item, make sure you turn them to the back of the wall that'll way if you have kids, maybe with a little bit of a temptation sometimes playing with matches, that could avoid some problems there too. Take them and store them there or put them in a rubber tub or a box and just store them away, again in a nice dry cool place and your fireworks will be perfectly safe. Where not to store your fireworks would be like this refrigerator again in here. Electrical appliance you would not want to store anything that has explosives in them on electrical appliance. Simply because of maybe the weather, lightening, or power surges, or this unit could actually maybe spark. You would never want to put a firework item on an item that plugs into a wall.
