AMANDA CLAIRE: Sometimes, you might find a little accordion that doesn't have all those buttons but the same rule still apply. This is--far fewer buttons but it's still going to go on fifths, right? This is still going to be the C, this will be the G, and this will be the D, and so on in fifths, all up and down. This one doesn't have any minors, you know, sevenths or diminished. It just has the root and the major chord, but that's good for a lot of, you know, kind of a, you know, well, like a lot of the German music, a lot of the Polka music kinda has a--that kind of thing. So again, if you have a smaller accordion that doesn't have all those buttons, still the same rules are going to apply, you know. I don't have a good example here but other accordions will have, you know, will have more buttons going this way so they might give you a minor and, you know, a seventh and a diminished but you might have a shorter range this way. So even though there are different, you know, numbers of buttons, the configuration is always the same. It's going to go in lines of sevenths this way, and then, depending on how many buttons there are, it will go, you know, root, major, minor, seventh, diminished, and then oftentimes, will have the third kind of right next to it.
