Parts of a Block Plane

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I'll be talking about some of the parts of a block plane. On the top of our tool we have our iron cap or lever cap. Next we have the iron itself the opening on our block plane where the iron came out of is called the throat. Towards the front of our tool we have our front knob and this is where you are going to place one of your fingers and use for pressure. Now just below that front knob we also have our mouth adjustment.
