Personal Safety Tips for Using a Block Plane

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I'll be talking about personal safety. First off before you start any work, you always want to make sure that you have approved pair of safety glasses and approved pair of safety glasses will have written on them Z87. Next you want to make sure that your clothing is somewhat tight fitting. If you have too loose or too baggy of clothes, you have the potential of getting caught in the block plane while planing. Lastly it's always good to have a pair of closed toed shoes just in case you drop a tool or maybe your piece of stock you're working onto your feet.
