More Projects for a Block PlaneHi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I'll be answering the question what else can a block plane do. Another thing a block plane is great for is if you have a small piece of stock and you need to plane it down to the line the block plane works great for that. Additionally if you have a cabinet where the door does not want to sit perfectly flush what you want to do is take your block plane and take just a few passes off, just to shave off enough so when you close that door it's going to fit nice and tight. Another good use for the block plane I went ahead and turned it upside down again and put it in a vice. I'm actually going to use it to sharpen my carpenter's pencils.
