Playing a High Hat & Snare Drum

JOEL SIEGEL: Alright. So, we're going to get our trusty metronome here, and we're going to play those eighth notes on the hi-hat with the right hand, and the two and four on the snare with the left hand. Sound like a beat. Alright, so now you've heard it. I want you to go ahead and play along with me. I'll count you in, one, two, three, four, and off. Alright, now you're getting really close and maybe, hopefully, really excited. Next, we'll do the kick in the hi-hat. And we'll take it from there.
