Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk, and on behalf of expertvillage.com we have been discussing today tips and techniques for using a personal shopper. Now, in earlier segments we discussed department store personal shoppers, there of course also the personal shopping businesses. Now, we are going to discuss if you are going on a holiday, there is also something called cruise ship personal shoppers. Now, much like the department store shoppers, they are a free service. If you are going on a cruise, and there is an item that you are just dying to have they are experts, they actually offer, in the ports of call, a recommended and guaranteed shopping program ashore. These personal shoppers, they get deals, they get bargains, they know where all of the best of the best is and who the best people are in those ports of call to deal with, especially when you are taking about things like jewelry, very much especially jewelry, clothing, depending where you are. Maybe you are in Alaska…things like Salmon or fur, if you are in Hawaii, there is a wonderful company called Helo Hattie’s; all of these places they are very much in tune where they can also pass the savings on to you, so keep that in mind. When you use the personal shopper on the cruise ship, also keep in mind they know all of the connections ashore. I have been a personal shopper about a cruise ship, and I do get discounts and use those connections. The boutiques aboard the cruise ship…they are only open when you are at sea. So, keep in mind when you are at sea, everybody tends to want to spend a lot of money. Hold back, because they will have sales too by the end of the cruise line, and your chances are that you will find even better items at the port of call.
