Ingredients for Ginger Miso Salmon

Hi. I'm Bill Lyons on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to be making Miso Ginger Salmon, snow peas and a lime cilantro rice. That's a nice, flavorful three course dinner. It's high in fiber because of course we have the snow peas and the rice. High in nutritional value because of the salmon which as we all know is really good for us and that's a focus these days. The ginger is of course also very good for us. Lots of nutrition in ginger. You're getting your vitamin C in the lime. Cilantro ,again, roughage and lots of nutrition. So this is a real healthy flavorful meal that everyone in your family is going to enjoy. Excuse me. This particular dinner item is more of a guide because you can mix and match different items in it as you're making it. Today I'm going to be making it with honey and tamari along with a little bit of mirin, which is rice wine, and a faint touch of sesame oil. Instead of possibly the sesame oil. Some people like to add a little bit of citrus in it. Either a lemon and lime or an orange background to it. So this is something that you can mix up a little bit and actually get several different menu items out of the same basic ingredient, salmon, just by adding or taking away from the actual marinade that we're going to be cooking our salmon in today. So in a couple of minutes we'll be back and we'll start discussing putting the marinade together and also the types of salmon that we're going to be using.
