Supplies for Curtain Sewing Project

This is Vicki Walker for Expert Village. Today we are making a valance that would be attach to a board to give it the distance that we need for it to stand out from the window we would be placing it over. So we would clear the sheers that would be beneath it. So the equipment that we would end up needing to use is a staple gun to staple the fabric to the board that we cut just the width that we need. It would extend 2 inches beyond the outside edges of the window. We may need a hammer to use for the project. We need our fabric of course. The trim that we would be using we also need color buttons for this project we would be putting over the center pleat that we would use. This white black out fabric as it is called will be used to prevent the light from shining through. Then we would need a measuring tape and my seam gage as well as the sewing machine, my thread and scissors. These and pins of course. these are the main things that we would be needing to complete our project.
