Hi, I'm voice over artist James Benedict on behalf of Expert Village. This video is about learning how to play the didgeridoo and I'd like to share a few secrets with you. If you're a beginning didgeridoo player, you've probably noticed a couple of things if you're playing a lot. The corners of your lips are probably a little bit sore and you might feel a little dizzy if you play a whole lot. This is perfectly normal, it's just part of the process of getting used to playing this thing. We've learned how to breathe so far, we've learned how to buzz into the didgeridoo, basic articulations, and basic vocalizations. One of the really cool sounds we can get out of this thing is called a 'flutter tongue'. When you buzz and literally let your tongue flutter behind your teeth while you buzz. It seems tough at first, but you'll eventually get it if you try, and try, and try, and try, and you'll eventually just go, "Ahhh! I can do it!" Let's give it a try. (demo) Sounds like an airplane, doesn't it? It really does. Let's try it into this thing and it really sounds like an airplane. (audio demo) Let's do it again just because it's so much fun. (audio demo) That's the flutter tongue.
