Ascending Part of the Mama's Jambalaya Drum Exercise

JOEL SIEGEL: All right. So we've done the descending part of the Jambalaya so we want to do the ascending part. We come out of that 1-1 and then we go 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, 8-8, all right? This is leading with the right hand, as you may have noticed. We'll continue on that path. It's also good to exercise--to practice this exercise leading with your left hand, okay? You can work on that on your own. So here's what it looks like starting from the 1-1 and building back up, all right? Take a listen, take a look. All right, you see how that works? Starting at 1's, going all the way up to 8's.
