Hi I am Douglas Willot on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to talk about coordinating your shirt with your tie. When selecting your tie for the evening you may want to pay attention as to whether you are getting a knitted tie or a painted tie. If it is a very formal occasion you may want to avoid the painted tie. Now the painted tie is a tie that is generally one sort of fabric usually a silk, very, very smooth and any sort of design or look on it has been painted over the silk as opposed to a knitted tie which often has a nice design on it held together by different threads of different colors or different threads that have been predetermined to be these colors, maybe a dyed thread rather than just a whole died tie, that would be the painted tie. For example there is a bit of a shinier sheen on this which shows it is a painted tie. These colors would be very difficult to do with a knitted tie and this would be very elaborate which is why the manufacturer chose to go the painted route with this one. However, on this one right here it is all one color but at the same time it pops out because it is knitted. That pattern in there is popping off of itself even though it is all one color and when you put this on it adds a nicer flare to it. The knitted ties are considered nicer ties because there is more craftsmanship to it.
