Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I will be talking about general maintenance. There are a few things that you should routinely check before you use your sander. The first being the safety switch. You want to make sure that it is fully operational and it is not worn. The next thing you want to check is the cord or if your tool plugs in, the plug end of the cord. You are going to be checking it for wear, tear, breaks, cracks, anything like that. If it is damaged, you want to get it replaced immediately. You also want to check for worn sanding belts. Here we have an old belt that is pretty worn down and we have replaced that with a new belt and that is going to give us a much better finished product.
