Cha-Cha Dance Steps in Ballroom Dancing for Beginners
This is Emily Johnson on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip, we will be talking about the cha-cha basic both the man’s and the woman’s part. The man’s cha-cha basic starts with his left foot and the cha-cha basic will be made up of those triple steps and rock steps. Starting with his left foot, he is going to take one short preparatory step to his left, which will be his side, not bringing the feet together and then he rocks back with his right foot, rock step and he does a triple step to his right, triple step and then he rocks forward on his left foot, rock step and then we return to triple step, triple step, rock step, triple step and rock step. From the side is side preparatory step, rock back step, triple step, rock forward, replacing the weight, triple step and rock step. The woman’s part is the mirror opposite of the man’s part. She starts to her right with that short preparatory step, side, she rocks forward on her left foot, rock step and then triple step to her left, triple step, back rock with her right foot, rock step and triple step and repeating the process again. Try that from the side, starting with her right foot, she does a side preparatory step with her right foot, rocking forward on her left, triple step to her left, rocking back on her right and triple step, repeating the process and rocking on her left foot, triple step. One more angle and that is side with her right forward, rock, triple step, back, rock, triple step, forward rock and triple step. That is the cha-cha basic both the man and the woman’s part.
