Personal Safety for Edge Sanders

Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I will be talking about personal safety. First off you notice that I am wearing somewhat tight fitting clothes. Since we are working with a tool that rotates, we don't want any rings or baggy clothes or watches to get wrapped up into the machine. An approved pair of safety glasses holding a Z87 approval is a must. In addition since we are doing a sanding process, it will kick up a lot of dust so it is always good to have some type of a dust mask or respirator. Also you will always want to make sure you are aware of where your hands are in relation to the tool and you should never be wearing any type of gloves because it could get wrapped up into the tool that rotates.
